Infinitist Christianity

One of the core, essential components of my faith is the awareness of the infiniteness of God. His truly limitless, boundless, all-encompassing power and supremacy. This is something I fix my thoughts towards on a regular basis. My Jesus is a VERY big Jesus.

The trinitarian God rules not just earth and heaven, but from my faith and trust I believe He rules a truly infinite system, boundless, endless, with countless worlds, countless universes, countless forms, and countless ideas.

Like a Georg Cantor set, existence is a set of information that is infinitely complex, with infinite quantity, infinite degrees of value and intensity, and infinitely expansive. Within this system you can have finite, temporary realities, like the one we live in.

Of course, the infinity of the Creator is far greater than the infinity of the creation. It would have to be. The creator would create such an infinite system as the greatest demonstration of His creative power.

This makes God an inconceivably massive and unfathomably powerful creative force. Far greater than I think the imaginations and understanding of humanity and even most Christians give Him credit for.

It would make Jesus sovereign not just over earth, but over a system of countless worlds, countless realms, and countless universes, giving Him utterly unusurpable and incomprehendable authority and power.

Of course, picturing Jesus this big and the Triune God with this endless and bottomless and absolute supremacy paints a massive picture of His glory, but viewing Him as this big doesn't detract from my understanding of scripture and my relationship with Jesus as a personal savior. It amplifies it.

An infinitist Christian is like any other Christian in terms of the significance of Jesus's death and resurrection as payment for human sin and our fall from grace. An infinitist Christian just has a greater focus and emphasis on God's infinity and infinite complexity and His limitless creative capacity, as well as the view that His creation is also infinite, with a limitless breadth, width, and depth, and countless forms, countless ideas, and countless worlds to operate as a BEYOND MASSIVE platform for His love and glory.

A platform for everything, to be honest.

This is the essential paradigm of Infinitist Christianity.
