The Spirit of Information

The Information you put out into the world (what you say, what you write, what you do, and what you build), has a touch of your spirit attached to it. It came from within your mind. Every word you say or conversation you have or post you write contains a part of who you are. Information informs consciousness in all its forms of the existence of an object, person, or idea. 


   It is information that is processed and remembered by conscious beings. If you want to leave a part of you to be remembered by people in the world or your friends and family, leave a legacy. Create information. Any information. 


     Whether that be music, paintings, art, achievements, research, writings, poems, anything that you are attached to that other conscious organisms can process and remember. An essence and sample of your mind, your spirit essentially, is wired into the information you create and develop or play a part in the creation of.


       You live on through what you leave behind. I think words and writing are an amazing way to carve a part of yourself into this world. Your mind is exposed, and a piece of who you are is hardwired into your work. Your ideas, your stories, your words all make up a component of the information that constructs your mind, and when they are written down, you etch yourself into a little chunk of history. 


    Who knows, maybe in a thousand years someone will read your mind, literally.😁   information has a lot longer lifespan than the human body, and the only way to achieve a semblance of immortality as a human on earth is to write something down, build something sturdy, and/or construct something lasting. Even this, in a universe governed by entropy, is a gross vanity. All physical things will die. It's ideas, stories, words, and the abstract that are truly eternal. Words have a longer lifespan, in their own abstract way, than matter does. 


     Even humanity will pass away, but all things, and all people, will always be remembered down to the absolute detail by God, the Creator. The only way to true immortality, timeless immortality, is to surrender to the Creator. All information, abstract or physical, timeless or decaying, complex or simple, living or inanimate, is subject to His authority.

Some people strive to turn their mind into a fortress—a Stoic "inner citadel," an impenetrable bastion of psychological and spiritual security that no danger or enemy can conquer or destroy. It’s a noble and intriguing endeavor, turning your mind into a fortress. But for myself? I would forgo the citadel and instead transform my mind into a bottomless ocean.
