The Journey to the Infinite
As I continue to grow in faith and my hope for a more exciting conscious experience grows stronger, I try to imagine what my experience would be like in a truly infinite system. I often think that life on earth is the springboard into infinity.
It is just the beginning of an eternal journey across God's unending creation and a future immersion into world upon world and culture upon culture. The absolute liberty of a child of God. For me, a component of eternity is the exploration of creation. The exploration of God's Kingdom.
Of course, being in the presence of the creator is the most fulfilling and glorious thing I can picture, but he created such a big existence! I have to go explore God's infinity for some part of my eternity.
My heart hungers and thirsts for a liberation from this world. A portal or an opportunity to launch into the infinite and eternal creation. I long for and desire above all things a freedom from hate and a freedom from bondage.
In God's infinite kingdom, the Kingdom of Heaven, I can actually be what I want to be and exist how I want to exist and be in the presence of the divine and the angels and Jesus. I can be God's warrior. I can travel to the stars. I can fight evil and destroy it.
In this world, you can't be what you want to be. They sometimes tell you you can here, especially as a child, but you can't. Many of the major decisions of your life are made for you by someone else so much of the time. Freedom is often reserved here for people born in social and economic stability. Not everyone gets the same opportunities and the same level of freedom as everyone else. You almost have to be born into the right family here.
This is why I fix my eyes on heaven. On God's infinity, and focus my love and my admiration on Jesus and humbly remind myself of the suffering He endured on the cross when He was executed so I can inherit eternal life. His sacrifice paved the way for my Journey to the infinite to be possible.
Earth is by no means heaven. Not by a long shot. It is too small, to broken, and too wicked.
Heaven is a lot bigger than earth, and a lot more free. That's an understatement.
Earth and this life I am living is more akin to purgatory, a waiting game, and a stagnancy before my journey to God's infinite Kingdom and through his Infinite heaven begins and takes off.
I place my faith, hope, and trust that I will soon be free. Actually free. Adventuring across the infinite creation. Away from the evil here. Away from the snares of the Devil. Away from pandemics. Away from selfish people. Away from deception. Away from fear. Away from hate. Away from death.
Soon I will taste a liberty that is incomparable to, and greatly exceeds, any liberty in life on earth.
The liberty of the infinite journey.
