Liberation

As I await my liberation,
I am going to show kindness even when I don't want to.

As I await my liberation,
I will put my relationship with God above all things as I sojourn through this dying world.

As I await my liberation,
I will be of service and a helping hand to whoever needs assistance in whatever areas of life they need assistance in.

As I await my liberation,
I will love my friends and love my family as strongly as I can and to the best of my ability

As I await my liberation,
I will try to treat everyone I meet with dignity and respect, no matter their race, their beliefs, or any other distinguishing trait.

As I await my liberation,
I am going to try to work hard, play harder, and find joy and purpose in a life that has had it's fair share of disappointment, heartache, and death

As I await my liberation,
I am going to try to stand up for the weak and sick, the oppressed amongst us who the system failed to protect, violated, and even abused.

As I await my liberation,
I am going to learn, going to grow, and going to get stronger.

I am waiting for my liberation now,

I know I can wait a little longer.

Some people strive to turn their mind into a fortress—a Stoic "inner citadel," an impenetrable bastion of psychological and spiritual security that no danger or enemy can conquer or destroy. It’s a noble and intriguing endeavor, turning your mind into a fortress. But for myself? I would forgo the citadel and instead transform my mind into a bottomless ocean.
