Deep Thought
There is a reason I write the kind of ideas and posts that I write on facebook and my blog. I want to challenge people. I want to catalyze and instigate deeper thinking in people. I want to catalyze and instigate deeper thinking in my friends, my family, and people who have more power, resources, and influence than I have.
I am fully aware many people on facebook skip over much of my writings, just aren't interested in them, and some might not even understand some of the subjects I write about, and that's totally fine. I'd be a little overwhelmed and maybe even a little annoyed if I were on the other end of things myself.
However, I think it is imperative that we as a society, and we as a species, learn how to think deeply and meaningfully about reality, our lives, our nation, our history, and our universe. If we don't think deeply and meaningfully about these things, we may never solve some of the greatest mysteries, avert and resolve the most dire of crises, and come to the most amazing conclusions about our lives and our world.
Without deep, complex thought, there will be no deep, complex solutions to deep, complex problems. I'm at the point where I don't care about people's perceptions of me, whether they question my sanity, or how much or how little they appreciate my ideas, I feel I have no choice but to express them and share them.
I honestly don't care how many or how few people actually read my stuff, and I don't care what kind of people are reading it as well. If you are reading this post and the rest of my stuff, that's awesome! Thank you! As you can tell, I have a lot to say and I have quite the database of a brain to work with 28 years of life experience, education, and getting my ass kicked on a couple occasions that taught me some valuable life lessons.
I believe that thoughts, information, ideas, and knowledge are extremely valuable, and under the right circumstances and nurtured and developed the right way, I think these things can change lives, change our nation, and change our world for the better. I think if leaders are exposed to new and better ways of thinking, they can make revolutionary and absolutely wonderful choices for the betterment of their subjects and the betterment of their communities.
I believe some of the greatest solutions to the biggest of problems get their conceptual foundation and substance from deep thought, critical thinking, and rational analysis. Deep thought and creativity were the foundation of the sciences, the arts, the literature, and all of the essential information and idea formation that form the essence and most valuable aspects of the human condition.
Deep thought, profound ideas, and imagination have been, and will always be the most important catalysts for the liberation of the human mind.
Thank you to all who take the time to read my stuff. God bless!
