The Plethora of Engineering Disciplines
Engineering has been a staple of human knowledge and creativity since we first started using tools and creating societies. Without engineering, most modern amenities and utilities wouldn't be possible, including the cell phone I am typing on right now. A major catalyst for human ingenuity is conflict. Conflict creates the necessary sense of urgency to expedite the engineering process so we can have an advantage over our enemies.
