Comprehending Infinity and Infinite sets of non-numerical information
Infinity is a hard subject to grasp for humans. We, as finite creatures with a finite neurological capacity, are greatly challenged by the infinite. Our confinement to a "moment-to-moment/point-to-point" progression through time and space, as well as our limited memory and processing capabilities based on finite time makes comprehending infinite numerical sets quite difficult for most people.
Even so, we can still categorize and encode information into sets to help simplify complex information and concepts and make the complexity more accessible to our minds. Also, we can describe the complex information linguistically to supplement the mathematical descriptions and proofs we use. In doing so, we can make concepts like infinity and eternity more relatable, understandable, and graspable to the average person.
I would like to describe a different hypothesis. I would like to present the possibility of an infinite set of non-numerical information. (non-number based information)
Let's use our imagination for a second. Imagine an abstract thing, like meaning or purpose, or things like freedom. Now imagine having a set of that abstract, non-numerical concept, and that set contained an infinite amount of possible forms, natures, and functions that that abstract non-numerical information can be in and have. A fascinating concept that adds an immense amount of complexity to an already complex world.
Infinitely complex abstract non-numerical information and infinite sets of that information cannot be 100% conceiveable to the average person, but it is good mental exercise to hypothesize of its existence. It sure can possibly expand your mental horizons and take your mind off of the fear and panic that the media and our government and community is undergoing as we speak.
Complexity can be a hell of a distraction, can act like a mental cushion, and can give you hope for a more wondrous existence.
To conclude, COVID-19 ruined my weekend writing group, and for that egregious sin the virus, the adversary and the fear he induces upon mankind, the third who fell from heaven with him, and all the agents of evil can politely go cast themselves into the lake of fire where the fire is never quenched.
