The Perfection of Love
The Perfection of Love:
On restless nights, my mind takes me to many places. I go from reliving trauma to being struck by the wonder of the possibilities of my future on earth as well as my future in eternity.
I realized something in my meditation. No matter how much success I have in existence. No matter how much money I may make. No matter how many dreams I get to live in life or in eternity. No matter how many miracles I witness or am a part of. No matter how many victories I have or enemies I vanquish. It is all fruitless, baseless, empty, shallow, and pointless if I do not have love, if I do not show love, if I do not give love, and if I do not feel love.
Without love, ranging from the love of my LORD to the love of my friends and family, to the love of my neighbors, to the great challenge of the love of the world and the love of my enemies, without love, existence loses a cornerstone. Without love, even the bonds that structure reality loses a part of their strength and purpose. Without love, no one could taste happiness or feel joy or reap the strength of hope or feel compassion for the weak and sick. Without love, societies become callous, careless, and some even murderous.
Without love, knowledge gets its legitimacy only in the pursuit of profit and marketable utility that is completely separate from what should always be the highest goal of mankind; the betterment, healing, strengthening, and improving of the human condition.
Without love, the pursuit of advancement is directed at the development of weapons of war and the development and implementation of systems of control that deprives and chokes Liberty. Liberty itself is a projection of love and a conception of a God whose conceptual cornerstone is love.
Love perfects the spirit, gives life and vibrancy to friendships and relationships, is the primary force that drives the conception of human life, is the one of the chief cornerstones of faith, and is the defining trait of forgiveness and mercy, and the essence of the nature of the living God.
As a result, the highest act of man is showing and giving love, and even higher is loving your God with all of the force of your mind, imagination, strength, spirit and heart. Love is the perfector of existence and the healer and redeemer of sinners and dying worlds.
Without love, hope dies, and without love then death, hate, evil, and fear achieve victory and prevail over goodness and righteousness. Since love stems from a perfect God, victory for darkness is impossible. Love, if we let it, can and will perfect our minds, spirits, and nature. Love is the perfector of Creation. Good Night (morning, whatever) and much love to all of you, dearest friends and family.
