My Desire for Heaven
As a Christian, I have heard many views of heaven from many different believers. I have heard that it is all-consumed with the glory of God. I have heard we reside in his presence forever. I have heard it overflows with the love of Jesus. I have heard we get to do things there that bring him glory. I have heard we get to experience the most perfect of happiness, holiness, and purity. I have heard that heaven is everything you could ever want that is not sinful. I have my own desire of God when I face him after this life. I would request that I get to spend eternity exploring his creation. I view that God created an infinite existence, just as He himself is infinite. I want to go from world upon world and experience culture upon culture, with countless places to see, people to meet, and games to play. I want to be able to explore the depth of knowledge and history that each world and culture holds. I want to study the different life of these countless worlds, see the different terrain such as mountains, rivers, forests, and oceans, and see the wonderous monuments and achievements each civilization has accomplished. Lets use our world as a reference point. We have had hundreds to thousands of different cultures of mankind. We have built spectacular monuments and buildings that defy imagination, and have made unbelievable technological advances in our history. Our world has hundreds of millions of different species of life on it, ranging from bacteria to the redwood tree. It would take one man nearly an eternity to explore all the places, people, knowledge, information, life, and history that we have here if we had all the time needed to do it. Now imagine there being an infinite amount of worlds like our own and different from our own. It would take an eternity of eternities to explore and interact within each one to the fullest. I mentioned game playing earlier. I want to play the VAST array of games that exist in all these worlds. Whether it is sports or other forms of games. I want to also be allowed to take part in efforts that eradicate evil and corruption from these worlds for the LORD's sake, whether it would be warfare or political action, or social reforms in the societies of these worlds. Just imagine the politics of an infinite existence! I also want to take part in the festivals and cultural celebrations of each culture on each world. Essentially, I view that this circumstance of my eternity would be overwhelmingly fulfilling to my state of being and it would be a gift of God by his grace through His son I would be completely undeserving of and completely humbled if He granted it for me. Of course, my primary objective as a Christian is to be a humble servant of Jesus Christ, so whatever God deems fit for me, I must comply, and I am certain it will be far better than I can possibly imagine, and as you can see I can imagine quite a bit. In truth, God puts in you the desires of your heart, and he fulfills it in perfect holiness. This world cannot possibly offer anything that compares to my heart's desire, and as I have received Jesus Christ into my heart, everything that is holy and right with God that I long for will be acquiesced by him either in this life or the next. If I want to be a warrior that stands upright before the LORD and an explorer who wants to see the depths of His infinite creation and knowledge, I am certain He would be more than willing to grant those desires, whether in this life or elsewhere.
