To Divide and Conquer the Agents of the Void:

             I had this image in my head a few years back now that was such a powerful metaphor and the makings of a good story. In this mental image, I saw these scientists, philosophers, and intellectuals peering into a blackness. Into a void or emptiness. Into a darkness. These people lost faith in and betrayed the light, and became deluded and deceived into thinking the answers to the mysteries of existence came from the void.

        A potent deception indeed, and these people worshiped and deified the nothingness of the void, and their deification of the cause of their blindness and mental darkness led these people to start committing atrocities and horrors in their world, destroying the beauty and wonder of the histories and monuments and achievements of the cultures and peoples of the world these void worshipers lived on. The fruits of the void, it being the opposite of light, the opposite of existence, and the opposite of the divine, is always death and destruction.

        The agents of the void in their blindness and delusion always end up killing and destroying. In this image and story concept, I pictured the tactic by which the agents of light and the creator used against this darkness and the agents of the void.  

     These void-worshiping people are in essence worshiping a nothingness and embracing oblivion and nonexistence as the only absolute truth, and as a result their minds, their cognition, and their ideals and beliefs had no foundation in reality. 

        A foundation on a void is no foundation at all. This truth makes the tactic of dividing these agents of the void against each other all the more easy, since the blind can easily be led to target and fight amongst the blind.

        It is an effective tactic to pit darkness against itself. When I was developing this concept in my head, I called it pitting nothingness against itself, dividing the agents of darkness and splitting them into many pieces and getting these agents to tear each other apart and destroy each other. 

        Naturally this isn't too difficult, as the people in this image who were blinded by the void already worship destruction and annihilation as it is.  Since they believe annihilation is their inheritance for eternity, getting those blinded by the void to stumble upon each other and destroy each other is a rather modest objective to complete for the agents of light and truth.

As I developed this story in my head, I became aware of the folly of trying to discover the big  secrets of existence from the void or knowledge from emptiness. Thinking you can achieve wisdom from darkness is the same fallacy of thinking you can draw absolute truth from an absolute deception. 

        Agents of void and darkness always lose in the end because they base the foundation of their ideals and worldviews on a nothingness, and no foundation can stand on a void. A foundation can only stand on something substantial, something real, something true. Light is the basis of all substance, so light and the substances that stem from light are the only legitimate foundations you can build something on. 

Good night friends. I might write a book with this premise one day. "The Void Worshipers" sounds like a cool young adult novel Hollywood can make into a billion dollar movie franchise and maybe after that happens I might be able to afford a 3 bedroom house in Bozeman! Haha
